The New York-to-Hamptons run is a summer ritual, and a private car is the civilized way to do it — no Jitney schedule, no wrestling luggage, no white-knuckling Route 27 after a long week. We handle the whole East End, from Southampton to Montauk.
The route and the timing
The path is the LIE (I-495) east to Sunrise Highway, Route 27, and timing is everything: Friday afternoons eastbound and Sunday afternoons westbound are the notorious crawls, while a Thursday-night or early-Friday departure can save you well over an hour. Plan 2h 15m to 3h depending on the town and the window. Your chauffeur watches the traffic apps and picks the moment.
Clients often fly in and continue straight out — we meet flights at JFK and drive east — or pair the weekend with a wine tour of the North Fork. For the trip, the Cadillac Escalade and Suburban swallow a weekend of luggage; larger groups take a Sprinter van. See the full Hamptons overview.
Comfort for the whole distance.
The Hamptons route, answered.
How long is the drive to the Hamptons from NYC?+
Between 2h 15m and 3h depending on the town and, crucially, the day. Summer Friday afternoons eastbound are the slowest; midweek and early-morning departures are far quicker.
Can you do a round trip or wait for the weekend?+
Both. We run one-way transfers, scheduled returns, and as-directed service for the weekend so a car is on call while you are out there.
Which Hamptons towns do you serve?+
All of them — Westhampton, Southampton, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Amagansett, Montauk and Shelter Island, plus Water Mill, Quogue and Sagaponack.
